Sue Abernathy Obituary
Sue Abernathy, age 76 of Georgetown, Ohio died Friday, October 31, 2025 at the Forest Hills Healthcare Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born May 7, 1949 in Mariemont, Ohio the daughter of the late Clarence Kenneth and Mary Ella (Goodpaster) Teal. Sue was a dedicated professional and cherished individual. She held a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati. Her career began as a nurse aide at the former Brown County General Hospital, where she provided compassionate care to her patients. She later transitioned into roles as a social worker and teacher, impacting the lives of many through her unwavering commitment to service and education. Outside of her professional pursuits, Sue had a passion for Mexican cuisine and found joy in watching basketball and bull riding on television. Her spirit and enthusiasm for life will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Sue leaves behind a legacy of kindness and dedication and she will be deeply missed. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother – Clarence Elzie “Butch” Teal.
Ms. Abernathy is survived by one brother – Charles Teal and wife Luann of Georgetown, Ohio; two nephews – Andrew Teal and wife Christian of Ripley, Ohio and Chase Teal and wife Amanda of Raleigh, North Carolina and many great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, November 7, 2025 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Scott Hennig will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Friday. Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford, Ohio.
