I am terribly saddened to find out my old buddy has passed on. I met Tom and Joy when we were neighbors in Escondido, CA and we were close friends ever since. We always had lunch when he came over to San Diego and we talked about "everything". I had been trying to reach him the last couple of months and thought maybe he was just on vacation, then discovered he had passed on. It has made a very sad day for me. I used to talk with Tom at the Surprise Stadium all the time, as he sat near the stairs to the upper deck checking patron's tickets and today 03/04, I was very sad to hear of his passing. He was always so nice to me and could and would talk about anything and everything, and always seemed to be smiling or laughing.
