Tressa Ann Brown Miller

Tressa Ann Brown Miller, 88, of Waynesburg, PA passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025. She was born on May 9, 1937, to the late Lee and Sophia Rodgers Brown of Ebensburg, PA. Tressa married Thomas Roy Miller on August 16, 1957, and moved to San Diego, CA, where Tom served as a Radioman in the U.S. Navy. They returned to Ebensburg, PA in 1959 to care for her elderly parents. In 1966, they moved to Williamsport, PA. The family settled in Waynesburg in 1972, when Tom took a position with CONOCO. In 1977, Tressa began a new career as a Teacher's Aide at East Franklin Elementary School. She served in this capacity for 35 years until her retirement from the Waynesburg Central School District in 2012. Tressa was a devoted and active Christian throughout her entire life. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and served as a member of the choir. Tressa loved her family, friends, faith and cats. She was especially fond of all the children whose lives she touched during her tenure with the Elementary School. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas of 67 years, as well as her brothers Lee (Nancy) Brown Jr, Fred (Hanna) Brown and sister Eunice (Joseph) Montgomery. Tressa is survived by her son Thomas Mark (Loretta) Miller; and her daughter Yvonne Miller, all of Rose Valley. A Celebration of Life her life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on November 5th at Behm Funeral Home in Waynesburg, PA. The family asks that no flowers or food be sent.
