I am a former employee of Ember's Steakhouse. I looked to Miss Val for words of wisdom on a daily basis. Just yesterday I thought of her and told myself I would stop by soon. I guess I didn't think she was going anywhere. I'm at a complete loss. I offer my greatest condolences to her family. Love you always Miss Queen Val.

Val was an amazing person. When I came as the Chef at Embers she always did her job and did it well! To me she will always be the Gumbo Queen...The Best ever!! Val you are missed.. god rest and eat all the crushed ice you want you deserve it!
