Viola Mae Stanley

              Viola Mae Stanley, 81, of Burnwell, KY, passed away Thursday September 2, 2021, at Pikeville Nursing and Rehab. Viola was born November 19, 1939, at Williamson, WV, to the late Ace Varney and Barbara Canterbury Bennett. Viola was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde E. Stanley; her sisters, Frances Mullins, Mary George, Roberta Litteral, Juanita Robinson, Louvernia Thomas, Lorraine Varney;  her daughter-in-law, Patricia Ann Stanley. Viola was a homemaker and a member of the Burnwell Church of God.

              Viola is survived by her children, Jennifer (Leonard) Stump of Phelps, KY, Clyde F. (Penny Imes) Stanley of Burnwell, KY, and Randy Bruce Stanley of Burnwell, KY. Viola is also survived by her sister, Yvonne Montgomery  of Chattaroy, WV, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

                Funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2021, beginning at 1 PM at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home chapel, with Mitch Bowling officiating. Burial will follow at the McCoy Cemetery, Burnwell, KY, with Viola’s friends and family serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 11 AM – 1 PM. R.E.
