Virginia Perkins, age 67, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. She was born on August 21, 1958, to the late James “Jim” W. and Betty J. (Martin) Lohmeyer.
A proud graduate of Lake High School and Penta Career Center, Virginia completed her education in 1977. She embraced her role as a homemaker with grace, caring for her family and creating a warm and loving environment. Her devotion to her family was demonstrated by her constant presence, cheering them on as they pursued their passions.
Beyond her dedicated role at home, Virginia had a zest for life that manifested in her various hobbies and interests. She found joy in engaging in activities such as scratch-offs and word searches. In the kitchen, she often explored new recipes, delighting her family with her culinary creations, none more beloved than her delicious tater tot casserole.
Virginia was also a loving and supportive grandmother, who cherished attending her children and grandchildren's school band performances, celebrating their achievements and fostering their talents. In her cherished moments spent with family, Virginia created lasting memories through heartfelt conversations that reflected her kind and caring demeanor. Her love extended beyond familial boundaries, as she took pleasure in crafting beautiful and unique gifts for weddings and baby showers, leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to receive them.
Those left to cherish her memory forever are her loving husband of 43 years, Keith Perkins, whom she married on September 4, 1982; children, Sheri Tran, Melinda Perkins, Amanda Perkins, Krystal Perkins, and Michael Perkins; eighteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; siblings, Joyce Lohmeyer, James (Sandra) Lohmeyer, Peggy Lohmeyer, Kathi Lohmeyer, Judy (Scott) Pope, and Albert (Jennifer) Lohmeyer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her son, Keith Perkins Jr.; and her daughter, Aimee Perkins.
Family and friends may visit at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Road, Oregon, Ohio 43616, on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the funeral home, at 11:00 am. Following services, Virginia will be laid to rest at Lake Township Cemetery.
