Sharon L. Ramirez

Sharon L. (DeWees) Ramirez, 78, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Otterbein Sunset House. Sharon was born on December 30, 1946 to Manuel and Margaret (Johnson) DeWees in Monclova, Ohio.
She was a proud 1964 graduate of Rossford High School. She went on to earn her LPN certificate at St. Charles Hospital, beginning a lifelong dedication to caring for others. Sharon worked for many years at the former Medical College of Ohio, now UTMC, where she built lasting friendships and touched countless lives until her retirement.
In 1972, she married the love of her life, Rogerio "Roger" Ramirez, in Toledo. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, adventure, and family. Sharon was a woman of many passions. She enjoyed cross-stitching and found peace in camping at state parks, traveling the country in her RV with Roger by her side. She had a deep love for wildlife, especially the joy she found in feeding the animals that visited her yard. Traveling brought her great happiness, and she cherished every new place she explored. A devoted grandmother, Sharon's favorite sporting events were always the ones her grandkids were playing in, she never missed a chance to cheer them on.
Above all, Sharon will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 53 years, Roger; children, Roger Ramirez and Andrea (Jeff) Homan; and grandchildren, Melissa (Trevor) Scott, Drew Homan, Ryan Ramirez, Jacob Homan, Trey Ramirez, and Hunter Ramirez.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Margaret DeWess.
Sharon wished for a simple, private farewell, which her family will lovingly honor.
