Lois G. Warnke, 87, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, at her home in Northwood, Ohio. Lois was born on August 9, 1938, in Nelsonville, Ohio to Gerald and Gladys (Koon) Robson.
She was a 1956 graduate of Olney High School in Northwood. Following high school, Lois went on to build a long and dedicated career with the State of Ohio, where she worked as an unemployment claims examiner for 25 years before retiring. Lois was married to the love of her life, Herman Warnke, and they shared many wonderful years together until his passing in 1998. During their marriage, Lois and Herman enjoyed traveling together. After his passing, she continued to travel and make cherished memories with her best friend, Hope Anderson.
Lois found her greatest happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved dancing, never passed up a sweet treat, and most of all cherished the time she spent with her family. She was generous in quiet, meaningful ways, always thinking of others before herself. Lois's caring nature and devotion to her family were constant throughout her life, and she will be deeply missed by those who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Christine Altice, Karen (Steve) Turnbull, Russell (Wanda) Warnke, and Susan Warnke; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and half-sister, Lynda Sienkiewicz.
In accordance with Lois's wishes, burial will be private and held for her family.
Lois will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to family, her generosity, and the joy she brought into the lives of others.
