Miss Vivian Gene Buford, age 84, of Rome, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015, in a local hospital.
Miss Buford was born in Floyd County on November 12, 1930, daughter of the late Seaborn Eugene "Gene" Buford and the late Mattie Leann Simpkins Buford. She was a homemaker and was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church. Miss Buford is survived by cousins and her friends and caregivers, Tim Odum and Wayne Knight, both of Rome.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at 11am in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. David Harper officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Monday from 5 until 7pm.
Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the funeral arrangements.
