WHO COULD EVER FORGET WALT AND HIS GREAT CONTRIBUTIONS TO MEDICINE AND FRIENDS

I am forever in debt to Walt, first for his medical expertise as well as his friendship. He is thought of constantly and sadly missed.

I am happy that I got to know Walt, for me, he was more than a friend but a life saver as well. He was able to make many people live and enjoy life.

I miss you! You can not be replaced as a doctor or a friend. I only wish I knew that you were sick.

I read all the condolences for Walt's family, posted differently on the Geigel Funeral Home website and on PennLive. I post this on both.
I met Dr. Walter Watkin (no "S" at the end, please!) in 1979 when he treated my father for lung cancer. After Dad died, Walt accepted me as a patient, because he wanted some healthy younger patients to test his jokes.
Over the years, I turned out not to be so healthy, but he kept both ribbing me and jabbing me, nevertheless.

Dr. Watkin was my husbands and my doctor for many years, he was so kind and understanding. He was so caring and kind to my husband [Jack} when he was so sick before he passed away. They liked to talk about fishing and camping. I'm going to miss him as my doctor and friend.
