Wilford Bell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 19, 2016.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wilford (Wilf) James Bell, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many, on Sunday September 18, 2016.

Wilford was born on September 23rd, 1933 in Abbotsford, BC. He was predeceased by his father William Carson Bell, his mother Elsie Gladys Bell and brother Marvin Bell. He grew up in Abbotsford where he attended Phillip Sheffield from kindergarten to graduation and through the years kept close contact with many of his classmates.

Wilford is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeannette and his five children Doug (Dee) Bell, Stacey (Garth) Eberle, Steven (Alexis) Bell, Darrell (Charlene) Bell and Michael (Tracey) Bell, his 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and a great grandchild on the way. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends.

Wilford was a drywall contractor by trade for 45 years and before he happily retired he passed his skill down to his two sons Darrell and Michael.

Wilford lived most of his life in Abbotsford and in his later years enjoyed spending every summer at his trailer in Harrison. Here you would find him and Jeannette playing a game of train or cards with family and friends. After retiring, Wilford and Jeannette eventually moved to Chilliwack with their puppy Heidi.

Wilford and Jeannette were lucky to be able to celebrate 60 years of marriage before his passing.

Jeannette and her family would like to thank Dr. Harder and the staff at Chilliwack General Hospital for their kind care of Wilford during his final days. There will be no service by request and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Wilford's name.
RIP to one of the kindest of men who was so loved and admired by many.
