William "Scott" Shields

Scott was a friend of mine through high school. I remember Scott´s father hired my best friend Joe Cahoon and my self to clean his offices. I lost touch with Scott when moved to the East coast. I have good memories from our time. My deepest condolences to your family. RIP.

So sad to hear about my dear, dear friend's passing. Scott, my brother Jim and I were the very best of pals during our pre-teen and early teen years. We rode bikes and generally just traveled all over Holladay and the Olympus foothills with discovery after discovery and unending excitement. We had those "hellateous" sleep-overs when NOBODY gets any sleep. Gradually, the differences of public and private education and the dedication to each began to dilute our times together. What wonderful memories I have of Scott. I will never forget the first time I met him and invited him to join a group of insurance geeks for lunch during a class. I so enjoyed that lunch! I got to work with him years later, and really got the chance to know him. We would share sailing stories together and loved to argue about who got the best wind over the weekend. I will raise my sail and a toast in my dear friend's honor.
