Not sure what to say?

Bill was a class act. I knew him well when he was President of Collins Corp. in St Charles and a member at St Charles CC and developed Fox Chase on the Norris land. His nickname on the PGA tour was "G0LDIE".

Such a special person. His smile will be missed. He had the gift of true compassion and care. We will always remember and appreciate his genuine interest in our lives and his concern for our well being as we tried to move out of the inner city. He always had a kind word. A true man of God, his life reflected the love of Christ. Now he in his promised glory. You will be missed. Our sympathy to his special family.

I couldn't have had a kinder and more friendly person to deal with than Bill. We had some great conversations and he gave up his time to speak to our Economic Development group at the Illinois Valley Community College. I will miss his intellect and wisdom.

I had the pleasure of being Bill and Ann's neighbor for the last 15 years in Leland, MI. He was always such a kind and pleasant person. He will be missed on our lane!

I worked for a small civil engineer office in Glen Ellyn a while back. Mr. Gahlberg was always a joy to speak to and I will never forget him. He came into our front office one December day and saw that we had no Christmas tree. The next day, he had a beautiful fiber optic tree delivered to us. I wrote a note to him on behalf of the staff, but I was the one who delighted in its beauty everyday. I will never forget his kindness, courtesy and compassion. A life well-lived and a job well...

The passing of a great man, wonderful friend, and committed Christian. Heaven rejoices in his arrival. We will truly miss him.

Condolences to Bill's family. Class in economic development is hard to find. He was top of the class. Bob Vickrey.

There are few men I would call a mentor in my life, Bill Gahlberg is definitely one of them. He took a chance on hiring a young kid to operate the Drake Oakbrook Hotel for him and his partners in the mid 1980s. He taught me so much and I am forever grateful for his guidance and leadership. I'm a better person and business manager today due to our relationship then. Not to mention he introduced (pushed) me to the game of golf, which I still struggle with today. Regretfully, I'm unable to...

Our deepest sympathy to Bill's loving family. Our hearts are with you during this difficult time. He will be remembered sweetly and fondly.
