William Aubrey Higgins, Jr., 76, of Taylor, Arkansas passed away on July 18,2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born on December 29, 1946, to William Aubrey Higgins Sr and Sunshine Corinne (Orr) Higgins in Taylor, Arkansas.  He was an over the road truck driver for much of his life. William’s greatest past time was time spent with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and hunting all his life. He was an “outlaw”.


Preceding him in death was his parents, William Aubrey and Sunshine Corinne Higgins; wife, Francis Diana Higgins; brother, Marcus Hobson "Hoppy" Higgins; and great granddaughter, Zoie Claire Compton.


Left to cherish his memory are his sons, William Paul Higgins and Aubrey Douglas Higgins both of Taylor, Arkansas; sisters, Cynthia Rogers of Taylor, Arkansas, Sue Meeler of Stamps, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jacob Higgins, Blair Matlock (Jared), Rusti Beathard (Cody), Cody Higgins, Michael Higgins, Camryn Higgins, Austin Budwah; great grandchildren, Gage Matlock, Asher Matlock, Skylin Matlock, Ryder Lane Beathard, Avery Rayne Beathard; a special nephew, Dale Glass; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.


Honoring William as his pallbearers will be Paul Higgins, Jacob Higgins, Douglas Higgins, Cody Higgins, Michael Higgins and Dale Glass


Funeral Services will be held on Saturday July 22, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the A O Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Taylor, Arkansas with Brother Glen Taylor officiating, interment will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery in Walker Creek, Arkansas under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, AR.  


A visitation will be held on Friday July 21, 2023, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the A O Smith Funeral Home Chapel, in Taylor, Arkansas.

I knew him as Hoghunter his trucking handle and he was my daddy’s best friend/brother. I am so sorry for your loss. We all loved him and I considered him family. when my daddy was sick with cancer he was there for not only my dad But the rest of us as well. He was truly one of the kind.

He is in a better place. No more pain. RIP cuz

Aubrey and I spent a lot of time chasing each other up and down the hallways of the country. I considered him to be one of my best and most loyal friends. He was quite a character!!! RIP Hog Hunter my friend.

Praying for you family at this time. Sweet memories of visiting with Aubrey at the ballpark over the past years. He always had a special something to say!

Aubrey was a great person who I loved very much. The family will be in my prayers. He will be greatly missed.
