William "Bill" Ohlson, age 78, U.S. Army Veteran, of East Hazel Crest formerly of Schaumburg. Beloved husband of Phyllis Ohlson nee Fernandez. Dear son of the late William and Margaret Ohlson. Loving father of Kurt (Tam) Ohlson, Kelli (Nelson) Russo and Ken (Kendra) Ohlson. Cherished grandfather of Hunter, Jacob, Dominic, Kylie, Kolt and Klaire. Dear brother of the late Joette DiLallo. Fond brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle and friend to many. Retired Coach and Teacher at Leyden H.S. and Downers Grove North H.S. Visitation Monday September 23, fro 3-pm at the Ryan Funeral Home 18022 Dixie Highway in Homewood. Funeral Tuesday 9:15am prayers at the Funeral Home to St. Anne Church in Hazel Crest for Mass at 10am. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. So sorry to hear about the passing of coach ohlson. He was my swim coach in the early 60's. I always remembered that there were 5 ways of doing things. The good way, the bad way, the wrong way, the right way, and Ohlsons way. Rest in peace coach. And my thoughts and prayers with you and your family.
