Not sure what to say?

I knew Bill when he was as student at CMU, and saw him in his performance in Julius Caesar. During the summer we drove to his home in Idaho and the to the Olympic Peninsula, because he wanted me to see Hurricane Ridge. I flew back to Pittsburgh from Seattle, finished my studies and lost contact with him. I never knew anything about his musical interests, though we listened to Ravi Shankar and Yehudhi Menuhin.

I am very sorry to hear that Bill passed away. He and I were members of an informal group at the I.U. School of Music that hung out together. He had a powerful voice and was a terrific actor. I trust the heavenly choirs of angels will appreciate their newly arrived set of pipes. Show 'em how its done, Bill, and we'll see you later.

Bill Rhodes was my voice professor at the University of Texas at Austin 1990-1996. I learned so very much from him and enjoyed his stories greatly. I have always carried him in my heart. Bill was a tremendous influence on me and I miss him greatly. Dr. Andrew Seigrist

Bill was a wonderful influence with my high school in Coeur d Alene. He was music director for two productions. He was a joy to work with, an excellent in sharing his knowledge of vocal work with my students. He became a family friend and sang duos with my husband and several occasions. We will miss his generous laugh and energy.

I never got that chance. I hope his family sees this and understands I'm but one of many he helped along a path to a lifetime career as a musician. I think about him in my own teaching a lot and quote him often. He was more than a...

Bill had such an impact on my life. He taught me to love Mozart, Puccini, Strauss, and Debussy. He was tough, yet gentle, and always kind. I will be forever grateful for the lessons he taught.

Thank you Uncle Bill for all the memories, songs and performances. Forever in our hearts. - Fair, Tony and girls.
