William A. Roberts

William passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016. William was a resident of Abingdon, Virginia at the time of his passing. Mr. Roberts was a U.S. Army Veteran and received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart during his service during WWII at the Battle of the Bulge. He was married to Peggy McReynolds Roberts. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Stephen Musick officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by Highlands Veterans Honor Guard and the Virginia Army National Guard. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
