I was saddened to hear of Mr. Schaefer's passing. Although I've been out of touch for several years, I do think of you all often. I remember Mr. Schaefer as a kind man who was devoted to his family. Shirley & family, you are in my thoughts & prayers. Mr. Schaefer was truly a Gentle Man. I wouldn't have my City Championship Baseball jacket downstairs if it wasn't for Mr. Schaefer. God Bless all of you.

to all the Schaefer please accept my condolences. Mr Schaefer: a humble, kind, understated gentleman. He was also arguably the best athlete in a parish with many exceptional athletes. I would have loved to see Mr Schaefer vs. Mr Demling in a athletic showdown when they were at their peaks. Again, my condolences to all of you.
