William A. Simmons, Sr. departed this life January 23, 2009. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 40 years, Lottie L. Simmons; four daughters, Linda S. Scott (Earl) of Hawaii, Phaedra Simmons JOnes of Philadelphia, Billie L. Simmons-Harris (Dana) and Rebecca Bookman of Philadelphia; son, William A. Simmons Jr. (Marian); 14 grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. Remains may be viewed on Friday 11 a.m., at Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Avenue, where funeral services will be conducted at 1.pm. Interment Quantico National Cemetery (Triangle, VA) private.
