Salvatore Tenaglia, 66, of Fort Myers FL, died January 18, 2017. Sal is survived by his loving wife, Regina. Born in Staten Island, NY, he was the son of Rocco and Jean (nee Pifalo) Tenaglia. He graduated from Manhattan College New York. Sal was an intelligent and community minded businessman. He was a major influence in the redevelopment of 5th Avenue downtown Naples. Sal owned and operated Reginas Ice Cream Pavilion on 5th Avenue South for 29 years. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, January 29th, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Fuller Funeral Home, 4735 Tamiami Trail East. Final committal is private. Recently found out about Sal's passing. Sad. Good friends at Manhattan College. Quite the character. Will be missed I'm sure. "Can you get this out ?" LOL.

I don't think I have a childhood memory that doesn't include Sal and was shocked to hear of his passing. I am sure he and his Dad are fishing in Heaven! Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Gina.

Sal always remembered my name, asked about my sister and mom. He was the troubador of 5th Ave and there will never be another like him. .
Sal will be sadly missed by the musicans like Moony Man, Tie Dye Ted, Mike and the Misfits, Boz & Bon just to name a few. If your music was heard on 5th on a a Thursday night, you knew Sal.
He will be singing a tune in Heaven where his Mom and .father in law

My best friend Gina was married to Sal..They spent endless days Bass Fishing while running a store.They both loved to fish.They both took care of their loving birds together.Sal was so into never closing the icecream store so no one ever got a day off lol..RIP Sal you were a good Man and way too young too pass..I will take care of my Best friend you're wife until the day I pass.

My memory is of a tall bearded man behind the counter at Regina's.
Declared by my visitor from Yorkshire England as his 'favourite restaurant in Naples'.
I pray it's there forever as a memorial to it's late owner.

I have fond memories of ice cream sodas made by Sal and Gina on my visits to Naples. This tradition was started by my mother, Patty, and my aunt, Jody, who would tell stories of Sal and his birds. He will be missed very much. My heartfelt sympathies to you, Gina.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
