Bill L. Neal Naples, FL
Bill L. Neal, 77, of Naples, passed away on October 19, 2009. He was born January 29, 1932 in Bluefield, WV and raised in Williamson, WV, graduating from Williamson High School in 1949. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War. A graduate of Marshall University and Harvard University's Advanced Management Program, Bill excelled in finance and business, serving in senior executive positions for several metals manufacturing companies, including Consolidated Aluminum and Phelps Dodge. He served as president and CEO of Lee Brass Co. from 1983 to 1987 and president and CEO of Cullman Products Corp. from 1988 to 1991. Bill was also an active and longserving member of the Board of Directors of WCM Industries of Colorado Springs, CO.
After retiring to Naples in 1994, Bill directed his attention to many charitable efforts. He served as chairman of the Chuck Yeager Society of Scholars for Marshall University. Bill also volunteered his time to spearhead the redevelopment and beautification efforts of Bayshore Drive, having served for many years as chairman of the Naples Bayshore/ Gateway Community Redevelopment Board and Chairman of the Bayshore Municipal Special Taxing Unity. His dedication to these efforts earned him the honorary title "Mayor of Bayshore." Bill was an avid golfer and member of the Windstar community here in Naples. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Frances; and siblings, Ted and Penny.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Donna; his sons, William (Lori), and Jeffrey (Christine); his daughter Cynthia (Marc); his grandchildren, Erica, Alexandra, Tyler, Michaela, Wesley, and Jason; his great-grandchild Andrew; his sisters, Patsy and Peggy; and brothers, Tom, Mickey, and Gregg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill's cremated remains will be buried at sea, at sunset with military honors, on his cherished Gulf of Mexico during a private family ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to the Boys and Girls Club of Collier County, FL (BGCCC) and the Humane Society Naples.

Please accept my deepest condolences. My apology for the lateness of this note. My computer has been in the shop for a complete overhaul and I am just now able to acccess and respond to e-mails.
As you know my friendship with Bill began in 1967 and continued despite not having seen much of one another very often of late.
His passing is a true loss for me.

I met Bill when he first came to Windstar and I always enjoyed talking with him. He was one of my favorite people there. As were many others I was very sad to learn. just today, of his death. Those who knew him have suffered a real loss.
