BERNARD HOGUE 1957-2007 Montreal, April 17, 2007. Passed away peacefully on April 4, 2007, at 50 years of age, while on vacation at a resort in the Dominican Republic. He is survived by his brothers Gerard (Josefina Capul), Pierre (Madeleine McMillan), Jacques (Kathleen Projean), Olivier Claude (Isabelle Poulin), and by his dear friend Oswaldo Salas. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews Valerie, Raymond, Laurent, Christine, Jacinthe, as well as many aunts, uncles, and friends who shared his life. Bernard began his career as a teacher in a correctional facility in 1982. He eventually left teaching to become a strategic communications consultant. Over the course of his career he held the positions of Political Advisor, Director of Communication, Parliamentary Affairs Officer, and Director of the Cabinet of the Quebec Vice-Premier. In those capacities he participated in several parliamentary commissions, including one on the setting of Hydro-Quebec electricity rates in 1990. He served as a legislation director and as a senior political advisor to the Cabinet of Heritage Canada from 1993 to 1996. Between 1997 and 2001, Bernard Hogue held the position of Director of Marketing Communications at Bell Canada. In 2002 he founded his marketing communications consulting firm. He was also a member of the Consultative Committee of Urbanism of Ville-Marie borough in the City of Montreal from 2002 to 2004. Until recently he was the Vice-President of Public Affairs at the Quebec Federation of the Chambers of Commerce. He was appointed and served as Administrator since May 2005 on the Board of Directors of Moisson Canada, the most important food bank in Canada. The family will welcome visitors at Alfred Dallaire Memoria located at 4231 boul. St-Laurent in Montreal, tel: 514-277-7778, www.memoria.ca, on Thursday, April 19 between 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Friday, April 20 between 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on Saturday, April 21 between 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 21 at St-Jean-Baptiste Parish located at 4237 Henri Julien on the corner of Rachel in Montreal.
