I was so saddened to hear about your father. He and my mother, Rozanah Althisar, were pen pals for several years. Since they were raised from the same area and my dad was born in Talbotton, they shared many memories. I came to know your father through his letters to her. They were so full of life and humor and she always looked forward to them. When he didn't answer her last letter I felt that you might have lost him already and have looked up his name online many times. It was only this time that I found the information about his passing. My heart and my prayers are with all of you. Our parents were with us far longer than most and they lived such full lives but that doesn't mean that we don't mourn or miss them any less.

Pa, I knew you for more than 30 years! You were more than a father in law to me.. You know that's true..It was my honor to know you, to love your son, raise your grandchildren and also to have you see the mother and wife I am. Everyday my biggest fear was that I would dissapoint you! I honored your opinion so highly! Last month joking when I asked who knew we'd make it to 29 yrs! you said You knew! You had faith in me Pa when I didn't even have faith in myself! Thank you for being me Dad! For showing me how to make such a simple chore as raking rocks a "Joy", for putting up with my "taco rock"/mexican music and for teaching me to garden and to can! You were someone who bugged me when I told you I don't know where your stupid key were to how we laughed about it later! I love telling you about the specialist and about the kids in the volvo! (private joke). I hope when I introduced myself to Clemmie, who I regretfully never did meet, that you explained that I have a heart of gold...that I don't know when to stop talking but that I LOVED her through your stories and countless tales. I think everything is pretty messed up here Pa! I just keep praying to you that you will guide me to still make you proud! Gunner, buddy, Pa, I love you!! Tita
