Being best friends with Jose's sister, having a crush on Jose, and being the Acuna's "unofficially adopted daughter", living across the street from the Acuna family I will always cherish the childhood memories I have of Jose. Such a tragedy, my heart goes to all the family.

Debra and Acuna Family I was so saddened when I was informed of the loss of your brother it was unbelievable I had just tooken pictures for the Holy Communion of my grandchild and his daughter. May the perpetual light shine upon him and May the good Lord give the family the strength to continue on. To mí Tío Lico y mi Tía Ida. I'm very sorry I couldn't be there with you through this trying time. I am so very sorry for your loss. Jose was someone I looked up to like another tío...an elder that led me to become the person I am today.The lessons he taught me are on the level with the ones I've learned from you both and my own father. Jose was a great man in his life and in his words...and I have you to thank for that. I love you and miss you both.

To Acuna Family, with our deepest symphaty and love. Jose will always be in our thoughts and prayers. We have known Jose since July of 1990 when we moved in on Tropicana Dr. He introduced himself to our family with a pair of jumper cables and a smile. We'll not forget that smile. He was a very dear friend to us. Jose took care of our children whenever they needed help. He was always there for us.

To the Acuna Family, prayers for your loss of a great son, brother, husband, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a hardworder, provider, and wonderful volunteer, so giving of his time in his charity work. Jose was part of our family too, my father loved him like a son, and enjoyed his visits. He was always coming over and helping my dad out with his car and talking with him. I personally will never forget our "dancing days", a friend who always made me laugh.
