Grady Maples Obituary

Grady L. Maples, 75 CARLSBAD -- A 45-year resident of Carlsbad, Grady Maples passed away at his home on Sunday, February 13, 2011, and went to his final resting place with the Lord. One of Grady's final wishes was to have a "Celebration of Life" party with all of his friends and family, before he passed on. The party was held on January 15th at the Beach Break Caf in Oceanside and over 90 friends and family members were present. He was truly moved by all of the love and support he received from all of his friends and family. Grady was a fun loving, caring person, who could "sometimes" be a little ornery, ha-ha to those of you who really knew him. But, we all loved Grady just the way he was, ornery and all. He is survived by his loving companion of 20 years, Dianne Regan; along with their always faithful dog, Bleu; son, Michael; six stepchildren; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. At Grady's wishes, no further services will be held. Family will be escorting his ashes to their final resting place at Lake Nacimientos, to be next to his beloved Nana.
