I'm sorry I did not know of Phil's passing sooner. I wish I had known him.

Phil had an uncanny view of the world and in particular the Tunkhannock Community. He saw things that needed to be changed and rather than just talk about change, he acted. Many times his actions changed lives. He was instrumental in seeing that the Builder's Club at the Tunkhannock Area Middle school came to fruition. Many of his good deeds were done without fanfare because he frowned upon being in the spotlight.

It was an honor and a privilege to have known Phil over the many years since my involvement in the Kiwanis organization. He trully was dedicated and encouraged me in all my Kiwanis endeavors. We will all miss Phil greatly.

Phil Broadhead will never be replaced. His service to the Kiwanis and Wyoming County was outstanding. Phil gave generously to all organizations he was involved in. Kiwanis was his first priority and he was always available with advice and financial support...and he never wanted any publicity. His advice was always given freely, and if he couldn't answer your question...you would get a phone call the following day with the information you requested. A quiet man...Phil always listened to everyone and gave us priceless advice and recommendations. The Kiwanis Club of Tunkhannock, and the Kiwanis Wyoming County Fair, were Phil's special interest and he gave freely advice that was unmatched. We will miss him greatly...but Rest Well
Phil until we meet again.

Phil Broadhead will never be replaced for his dedication and financial support of not only Kiwanis, but all organizations he was involved in. The Tunkhannock Kiwanis Club and the Kiwanis Wyoming County Fair will always be grateful for his services. Phil supported all organizations he thought were doing something special to encourage children to participate. He volunteered his knowledge and financial support to make sure the organizations would continue to serve mankind...and did it without publicity . He was always available...and if he couldn't answer your question...you would receive a phone call the next day with your answer. The Tunkhannock Kiwanis Club and the Kiwanis Wyoming County Fair will always be indebted tp Phil for what services and advice he gave us. Rest well dear Kiwanian until we meet once again.

Phil was a dedicated Kiwanian and enjoyed working with our sponsored youth groups (Key Club & Builders Club). He didn't seek public recognition for his service and was very proud of his work with the Pa. District Foundation and the Children's Heart Program. His vision to start a Pennsylvania Kiwanis Scholarship Program and the countless people he inspired with his leadership talents are a lasting legacy Phil has given to the community. He still attended Kiwanis meetings until just a few weeks before his death and will be remembered as Mr. Kiwanis.

Uncle Phil was a private, humble person who probably never knew how many lives he touched! His passing is our loss but his rewards will be great in Heaven. A man of such stature can never be replaced, but his memory will be forever in our hearts. The Parkers (Grand-Niece & family)

I went to TAHS from 1984-1989 and was very active in the Key Club. Mr. Broadhead was always so nice and so helpful when I was coordinating the Christmas tree fundraisers and while I was president senior year. He was a positive influence and source of support to myself and many Key Clubbers. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this difficult time.

Uncle Phil,
Although distance seperated us for many years you were always in our hearts and prayers. You will be deeply missed but I will always have the fond memories of our trips together, especially New Orleans and the times during the summers spent at your home on top of Tunkhannock mountain. Have some Booberry cereal for me in heaven, unless of course you would rather have your corn flakes and orange juice. May God bless you and some day we will meet again.
Love always,
Your nephew Lance,
My wife Cassandra and your great grand nehpews, Ryan, Corey and Sean
