Corneilus "Neil "Johnson

THORNNVILLE: Corneilus "Neil "Johnson, 75, of Thornville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 8, 2013.

He was born December 3, 1937 to the late Jesse and Annabelle (Kelley) Johnson.

Neil is survived by his wife, Ruth Johnson; and five of his six children; Teresa (Waldemar) Kisiel-Johnson, Ando (Christy) Johnson, Llamo (Patricia) Johnson, Chapa (Mike) Baumbarger and Xylina (Brandon) Schneck; a grandfather to 14 and a great-grandfather to one.

Those who knew Neil will always remember him for his love of life, conversation and family and friends. Never caught without a smile on his face and good conversation to share, Neil enjoyed a life of many contributions; carpentry, stone masonry, farming and trucking. Always willing to help a friend or neighbor, his imprint on the lives he touched will forever be cherished.

In addition to his parents, Neil was preceded in death by his siblings and son, Achillious Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in the chapel of the Thornville home of Hoskinson-Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S. Main St., from 4 to 6 p.m. where a funeral service, celebrating Neil's life, will be commence at 6:00 p.m. with Father William Ferguson as celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contribution be made to: The American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Rd, Dublin, OH 43017.

Ruth and Family, Prayers go out for you all at this sad time. I didn't see Uncle Neil that often but when i did he'd always have the biggest smile that would light any room. Always happy and laughing he will truely be missed by many.

Ruth and family,
John and I miss Neil's huge smile and his friendly wave to us every time he would drive by the house on his way to the farm. Neil would always smile, wave and sometimes stop working in the field next to our house just to talk to us for awhile. He touched many lives with his generous smile.
