Robert Fiest Obituary
CLARKSVILLE, IN: A funeral service for Robert E. Fiest, Sr., age 58, of Clarksville, Indiana, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, at the Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service with Dave Mason officiating. Burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Fiest passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at his home. He was born March 11, 1954 in Newark, Ohio.
Mr. Fiest was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired as a lab technician for Safety Kleen in New Castle, Kentucky and had formerly been a funeral director with North Star Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas. Mr. Fiest was an avid movie buff and especially enjoyed Star Wars, Star Trek and Godzilla. He also enjoyed cooking.
He is survived by three sons, Robert E. Fiest, Jr. of Memphis, Indiana, Zachery B. (Tonya) Fiest of Sellersburg, Indiana and Brian Fiest of Newark, Ohio; daughter, Sara J. Joslin of Gainesville, Florida; grandchildren, Joshua, Addison, Joslin, Victoria, Emily, Max and Teeatta Fiest; father, Lawrence W. Fiest of Heath; brother, Donald L. (Cindy) Fiest of Newark; sisters, Lou Ann (Neale) LeMaster of Newark and Nina (James) Hill of Auburndale, Florida; nieces and nephews; and special friend, Joyce Carter.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth S. (Still) Fiest; and by an infant daughter, Teata Fiest, who died in August of 1977.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, at the funeral home, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath, Ohio.
