When I was pastor at Neal Ave. UMC from 1991-1997, Virgil & Vera were among the first to welcome us. They took delight in taking us on tours of historic places in Newark. We became good friends and kept in touch even after they moved to Chapel Grove. Virgil was a great person to know.
