Edward Bonapartian Obituary

Edward Hosrov Bonapartian, 91, of New Bern, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2016.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents Victoria Odian and Hosrov Bonapartian as well as his first wife, Mary. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Betty Jane Bonapartian; sister Mary Bonapartian of Far Rockaway, NY; daughter Victoria Johnson and her husband Terry Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; son Edward Bonapartian and his wife Page Bonapartian of Albany, NY; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Born on May 3, 1924 in Far Rockaway, New York, Edward was a graduate of Yale University. He entered the United States Air Force and served in WWII. Throughout his career as a Chemical Engineer and Project Manager, he worked in the U.S. and abroad. In retirement he was avid traveler, enjoyed photography and helped the Interfaith Refugee Ministry as a Spanish translator. His love for sailing brought him to Oriental, NC where he resided with his wife, Betty Jane, for 15 years while also a member of the Coast Guard Reserves for 20 years.
A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church on Sunday, January 17 at 3pm. All friends and family are welcome to attend and commemorate Ed's life. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be donated to Fisher House Foundation, an organization that assists military families with temporary housing while receiving medical treatment, or Colonial Capital Humane Society in Ed's honor, Fisher House Foundation, P.O. Box 97229, Washington DC 2007-7804 or Colonial Capital Humane Society, P.O. Box 326, New Bern, NC 28563.

So sorry for your loss. What a good long life Edward enjoyed. Many cannot say the same. He was one of those especially strong. Ps. 90:10
