Jay Norris Obituary
Jay was born in Cleveland, in 1946, the son of the late Henry J. Sr. and Evelyn (nee Thomson).
He was a beloved husband of Gail (nee Lanzen); loving father of Rick (Susan) of Mentor, and Tim (Maggie) and Elise of Dallas, Texas; cherished grandpa Jay to Grace, Mia, Claire, Ricky, Sarah and Nathan. He was the stepson of the late Caroline (nee Kurtz), and brother of Susan Kiel of Mequon, Wis.
Jay was very proud of his ancestors, Oliver Jay Wolcott Sr., who signed the Declaration of Independence and Articles of Confederation, and Oliver Jay Wolcott Jr., who was Secretary of the U.S. Treasury from 1795 to 1800. Jay's mechanical engineering education at Fenn College led to his love of building performance-racing engines, designing racing products, and racing his car in NHRA events. He also enjoyed American history and baseball. Jay was known for his sense of humor, helping those less fortunate, and his wonderful stories.
A celebration of Jay's life will be private.
Those who wish may make contributions in his name to their local Little League.

Jay was a fun neighbor. We had some good conversations.
Ijust happened to look him up on google to see if he was still on Richmond rd.
Jay was hopping to move to Florida.

Dear Rick and Tim and Gail and all the Family, My mom saw the obituary just last night and gave me a call straight away. Truly, we were pretty close friends for a time. We surely had are share of fun. And that included watching you guys grow up. He was very proud of you. The very best of him came out when talking about his children. I will miss him too. Rocco
