Edwin Rymer Obituary

Celebration of life services for Edwin Rymer, 74, of Mentor, will be 5 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St., (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
Mr. Rymer passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at his home in Mentor with his family at his side.
Born July 28, 1936, in Middlebourne, W.Va., he had been a Lake County resident of 50 years, living in Willoughby before moving to Mentor.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. Ed retired from Lincoln Electric Company in Euclid after 351/2 years. After retirement, Ed's time was spent woodworking, golfing, fishing and reading. He loved sports, especially Lake Catholic Cougars football and wrestling. He also loved cookouts and making his famous ribs.
He was the beloved husband of Martha (Massack) Rymer; loving father of Dawn Marie Rymer of Mentor and Laurence E. (Patricia, nee Koelble) Rymer of Mentor; cherished grandfather of Justin, Jenna and Joshua Rymer; and brother of James C. Rymer of St. Mary's,
W.Va.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Father Tom Johns will officiate. Burial will be private.
The family suggests contributions in his name be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, OH 44119, or Lake County Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060.

Dear Martha,

I am so sorry to hear of the death of your husband. Since I do not get the News Herald, I just learned of it at Mass on Sunday. Thank God for our faith which allows us to accept what the Lord wants of us - and then gives us the grace to "get through" it.
