Eli Poljak Obituary
Born Aug. 29, 1958, in Cleveland, he had lived in Wickliffe before moving to Mayfield Village 14 years ago.
Eli loved to golf and travel. His family remembered him as a kind, honest, loyal, dedicated, hard working and trustworthy person, who gave of his time.
Eli was a financial analyst for Ferro Corp.
Survivors are his wife, of 29 years, Monica (Belpulsi); brother, William McDonald; sister, Jeanette Wakely; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ernest and Emily (nee DeGilio) Belpulsi. He was also the nephew, cousin and friend of many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Helen (nee Jelenic) Poljak.
A tribute service will be held noon Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Willoughby Hills Friends Church, 2846 SOM Center Road, Willoughby Hills, OH 44094. Pastor Tom Fowler will officiate. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills, 28890 Chardon Road (between Bishop Road and Route 91).
The family suggests contributions be made in Eli's memory to the American Cancer Society.

Monica, I'm sorry to hear about Eli's passing. I worked with Eli at Ferro and he was always willing to help. He was so down to earth and was so dedicated to the Company. While I do not know you, I know how fortunate Eli must have been to have you in his life. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

It does not seem all that long ago that I shared time and many chats with Eli, during our time at St. Joe's High School. He was always with a smile, and happiness. He was a fine and diligent scholar. A friend of wonderful character. He has gone too soon.
God must have needed one of the best to call Eli so soon.
