Evelyn Steigerwald Obituary
Mrs. Steigerwald passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011.
Born March 21, 1916, in Cleveland, she was a longtime Kirtland resident before moving to Chardon 20 years ago.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Kirtland Restoration Branch, and worked as a cafeteria manager for the Kirtland Schools for 25 years.
She is survived by her son, Wilbert J. (Georgieann) Steigerwald Jr. of Newbury; daughter-in-law, Donna Steigerwald of Mentor; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Irene Fry of Mentor and Corrine Fishleigh of Chardon.
Her husband, Wilbert J. Sr., passed away Aug. 8, 2005; and her son, Gary Steigerwald, passed away in December 1987. Her parents, James Palecek and Mamie Palecek Janoch; sister, Adele Fry; and brother, John Janoch, are also deceased.
Private burial will be in South Kirtland Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Davis-Babcock Funeral Home in Willoughby.

Wilbur and Georgi, I am sorry about your loss and know how difficult this time is. I really enjoyed Aunt Evelyn's stories last year about my Dad in his younger days. God Bless both of you.
