Services for Evelyn Virginia ""Evie"" (Adams) Pearson, 73, of Mentor, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.
Mrs. Pearson passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011, at the Golden Living Center Western Reserve in Kirtland.
Born July 22, 1937, in Mentor, she was a lifelong Lake County resident.
She was a graduate of the former Willoughby Union High School and a member of the former Willoughby Assembly of God. She also attended Calvary Assembly of God in Willoughby Hills. She was a member of the first girl's softball team in Willoughby, known as the Pioneer Pigtails, and was active in the Mentor-on-the-Lake Girl's Softball League. She was also a member of the IndividuAlls social club, loved traveling, researching genealogy, line dancing, joining her friends for breakfast at McDonald's in Painesville, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Mrs. Pearson was a homemaker for most her life. After her husband passed away, she worked at Progressive Insurance in Mayfield Village, retiring in 1997. She then worked as a monitor at Lakeland Community College, and also as a poll-worker for the Lake County Board of Elections.
Survivors are her children, Cindi (Doug) Barth, Carol (Darryl) Keller, and Cathi (Brad) Campeau; grandchildren, Krissy (Matt) Staton, Mike (Courtney Harris) Barth, Brian Keller, Kersti Keller, Karlie Campeau and Lyndsey Campeau; great-grandchildren, Aiden Staton, Ashton Staton and Alex McCullough. She also leaves her dear friend, Jim ""Cotton"" Haynes; sister, Betty Patton; sister-in-law, Margaret Adams; and many nieces, nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Pearson Jr. (who passed away April 22, 1992); her parents, John E. and Bessie (Crum) Adams; sister, Erma Crick; and brothers, John, Gerald, James, Donald and Robert Adams.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the funeral home. The Rev. Richard L. Barth will officiate at the services. Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery.
The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff at the Golden Living Center in Kirtland for the care and concern shown to their mother.

You will be greatly missed Aunt Evie. The last few days I have been remembering all the things we did when I was between 14 and 23. So much fun! Uncle Carl was always a good sport about the things we did. I remember going into labor at your house and you taking me to the hospital. I also remember how you helped me at a bad time in my life. I love you and please give my family up there a big hug and kiss for me..
