Joseph Keough Obituary
He was born July 17, 1925, in Cleveland.
Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2011, at St. Justin Martyr, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. He was a member of the American Legion Post 678 Willowick. For many years he was a leader in the Boy Scouts of America and was recognized for his many contributions to Catholic Scouting.
He was a 48-year member of AA since June 14, 1963, and was happy to be a friend and sponsor. He and his wife were founding members of St. Justin Martyr in Eastlake. His family knew him as someone who loved gardening, had a great sense of humor, was proud of his country, family and faith and a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Rose Therese; two daughters, Mary Beth (Juan) Asenjo and Margaret (Edward) Doherty; three sons, Andrew (Kathy) Keough, Joseph (Dorrie) Keough, Matthew (Joyce) Keough; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Keough; mother, Florence Keough (Caldwell); brothers, John, Herb, Bill and Neil; sister, Mary Prokop; and great-granddaughter, Imani Davis.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.

To the Keough family. My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. Mr. Keough was a great man and will never be forgotten. As a kid whether it was leading the scouts at some parade or driving up your driveway and seeing him in the garden he always seemed larger than life, an amazing, dad and a true gentleman.
