So sad to hear that Coach Kovats has passed. May his family find peace and comfort in the Lord during this difficult time. If I may reflect, he settled the football program at Madison after a few years of turbulence. He installed an offense that was built on sheer power. I'm grateful that I had a chance to play for him and fight for that extra yard. I'm a better man and coach today because of him. "Coach, rest in peace."

My deepest regrets go out to the entire Kovats family. Growing up without a father figure, Mr. Kovats was always very happy to step into that role and help my brother and I whenever needed. Always positive! He will never know the positive impact he had on us as a man and a father. Thanks Mr. Kovats.

He was my first football coach when I was 6 years old. Reconnected again when I reached the HS level and he hadn't changed a bit. A warm and gentle man that always had time for me and whomever needed him. He was a wonderful man and an even better role model. He will be missed.

Have too many awesome memories of Uncle Paul! Looked forward to spending days with my cousins when we were kids because Paul would take us to the high school on Saturdays to play basketball and go on the trampolines! Not enough time in the day to share all the memories. So glad we have them and he will always be in our hearts.
