Robert "Bob" Allen Hiser

Robert "Bob" Allen Hiser, 89, of Mentor since 1965 passed away Saturday March 15, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 17, 1924 in Bradner, OH.
Mr. Hiser was an industrial hygienist for many years at Brush Beryllium and with OSHA prior to his retirement. A U.S. Army veteran he had served during WWII in Germany in combat and in Japan during occupation. Mr. Hiser attended Bradner Elementary and High School and went on to graduate from Bowling Green State University. A member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion he was a loving husband of 66 years, a beloved father and grandfather and a special friend.
Survivors are his wife Joanna Hiser; children, Marcia (Mitch) Sharp, Steven (Pam) Hiser, Janet (Jim) Capp, Mark (Janet) Hiser, and Karl Hiser; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Stephanie, John, and Adrian. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; his sister, Patricia (Lee) Meislie; his brother, Paul (Dorothy) Hiser; and extended family, Bill (Becky) Schnittger and Joshua (Christy) Javins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Helen Hiser; his brother, Jack Hiser; and his sister, Betty Boyd.
Family funeral services will be held at a later date.
