Glenn Keeney Obituary
Mr. Keeney passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at his home. Born September 22, 1925 in Chagrin Falls, he has lived in Willoughby Hills since 1952.
He was a volunteer fireman and assistant chief for the Willoughby Hills Fire Department for 30 years and enjoyed gem cutting and polishing.
Mr. Keeney was employed as a machinist and quality control inspector at the former Ohio Gear Company/Towmotor/Caterpillar, Inc. He retired in 1987 after 44 years of service.
Survivors are his wife of 70 years, Mildred (Martin) Keeney; sons, Glenn B. (Mary) Keeney of Broadview Heights, Dennis L. (Laura) Keeney of Leroy Twp. and Allen P. (Beth) Keeney of Willoughby; ten grandchildren and their families and sister, Lillian Druen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn D. and Laverne (Facey) Keeney; brother, Howard Keeney and sister, Louise Johns.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4, 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

I had the great pleasure of working with Glenn when he was the Assistant Fire Chief in Willoughby Hills. He was a great mentor and role model to me and all the fire fighters he helped train. My thoughts and prayers to the Keeney family.
