MARSHALL — Derek Andrew Ring, 32, was born August 11, 1979, in North Carolina, and spent his childhood in Glen Rose, Texas, and later school years in Ohio. He graduated from Western Reserve High School in Collins and soon after relocated back to Texas, where he spent his last years with his family before his death Thursday, September 22, 2011.
Derek was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Wendell Ring; uncle, Ronald Ring; brother, Daniel Ring; maternal great-grandparents, Fred and Christine Reer; grandmother, Marie Rhoades; uncle, Johnny Rhoades; and cousin, J.B. Rhoades.
Derek is survived by Sarah Coynor and their son, Cutter, of Diana, Texas; sister, Stephanie and brother-in-law, Fitz of Ore City, Texas; brother, David and sister-in-law, Lisa of Diana, Texas; nephews, Gage, Cole, Van, Draven and Jeremiah; nieces, Zoey and Alliyah, all in Texas; parents, Donald and Cynthia Ring of Diana, Texas; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Ring of Norwalk, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Fred and Diane Reer of Norwalk, Ohio; aunts and uncles, Barb and Curt Conley of Collins, Ohio, Mark and Cheryl Sholes of Norwalk, Ohio, Bill and Sandra Rife of Gillespie, Illinois, Fred and Rin Reer of Collins, Ohio, Mary and Terry Souslin of Norwalk and Milan, Ohio, Hank and Wendy Womack of Berlin Heights, Ohio, and Pete Ring of Collins, Ohio; and numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at Morman-Hinman Funeral Home in Berlin Heights, Ohio, and burial will be Wednesday, September 28, 2011, in Collins, Ohio.
