March 22, 1921 - Feb. 6, 2011
Frances Elizabeth Todd Chase went on to Glory to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 6, 2011, knowing she was loved by God, family and friends.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Sue Todd of Longview, Texas, and niece, Pamela; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Todd (O.L. Todd Jr., deceased) of Longview, and niece, Linda; and brother, David Todd of Stonewall, Louisiana, and nephew Dennis. She is also survived by her sons and their families, Lynn Chase of Tucson, Arizona, Michael Chase and daughter-in-law, Ethel Chase of Las Vegas, Nevada, and grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Michele, and Charles L. Chase and daughter-in-law, Beverly Chase of Tucson, Arizona, and grandsons, Jason M. Chase and Austin T. Chase.
She was born March 22, 1921, in Groesbeck, Texas, to Jimmie Allison and O.L. Todd
Sr., who worked for Humble Oil (Exxon) in various locations across Texas, settling in Longview, Texas. She graduated from Longview High School and attended Kilgore College, where she was an original member of the Kilgore Rangerettes. Shortly thereafter, she married, and used her talents working for the U.S. Navy in California during World War II.
Later, as a single mother with Lynn and Michael, she worked for Chance-Vought Aircraft in Arlington, Texas, where she met and married Charles H. Chase from Framingham, Massachusetts. They later moved to the New England area, where they lived for more than 25 years, retiring to Green Valley, Arizona, in 1975.
Upon the death of her husband, Charles, in 1995, Frances moved to Tucson, Arizona, where she passed six weeks short of her 90th birthday.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Casas Church Chapel, 10801 N. La Cholla Blvd., Tucson, AZ.
