JACKSONVILLE - Funeral services for Orval S. Perry, 93, of Longview, will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with the Rev. Steve Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Taylor Cemetery in Gallatin. Mr. Perry was born in Cherokee County, and went home to be with his Lord Sunday, August 8, 2010, at Beacon's Hospice in Longview, of congestive heart failure. Mr. Perry was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Berla Perry. He is survived by his wife of ten years, Eldeen Gable Perry of Longview; a son, Stanley Perry of Richardson; a daughter, Saundra Kraus and husband, Paul of Orlando, Florida; a son, Ronnie Perry and wife Debbie of Longview; a stepdaughter, Sheronne and husband, John Carlin of Longview; a stepdaughter, Terry and husband Phillip Hidalgo of Haughton, Louisiana; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Perry owned Perry's Cafe for several years in the forty's and went into used car sales in the early fifties for 36 years. He retired in 1979, from the used car sales and the antique business. The family would like to give special thanks to Beacon's Hospice at Margaret's House and to the Doctors and staff for their extraordinary care of their husband, father and stepfather. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Beacon's Hospice. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at Boren-Conner Funeral Home, 750 S. Jackson St., Jacksonville, TX 75766.
