CLIFFORD CORBETT Obituary
Cliff Corbett, age 87, of Palm Coast, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at his home. He was a native of Jacksonville, FL. In 1985 he retired as an instructor from the New York City Transit Authority. He relocated to Palm Coast with his beloved wife Neal in 1985. He attended Howard University in Washington, DC and graduated from Pratt Institute in New York City. He was an accomplished artist. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the US Army Table Tennis Team that traveled throughout Europe. A true Jazz enthusiast, his knowledge and history of jazz was his passion. He volunteered his time and shared his knowledge of jazz on the air at WFCF Flagler College Radio for (8) years from 1993 to 2001. He was a member of NEFJA, DAV, NAACP and Palm Coast United Methodist Church. Cliff is survived by his wife, Neal Corbett of Palm Coast; daughters: Sharon, Jerri and Carole (Dennis); sons: Cliff (Debbie) and Larry (Leslie); six grand- children: Elanda (Chad), Chris (Kristen), Liana, Danielle, CJ and Justin; five great-grand- children: Brelyn, Robert, Aaron, Brandon and Morgan; nieces: Carol, Lauren and Jordan: sister-in-law, Jean (Bobby): father-in-law: Walter Morris; and loving family and friends. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2010 at Palm Coast United Methodist Church , 5200 Belle Terre Pky, Palm Coast. Arrangements under the direction of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach, FL.

Again I want to offer my condolences. I knew he was a jazz enthusiast. In my younger days I was a music major, trumpet player and played classical and jazz. We liked some of the same bands and musicians. I felt sad to hear he is gone. No funeral home
was indicated. If I am able I would show my respects. Most importantly my prayers are with his wife and family.
