Junior Brayfield Obituary

Junior Lee Brayfield

Junior Lee Brayfield, of Springfield, was born November 5, 1950 to Cecil Brayfield and Betty Perryman, and passed away on June 7, 2011 in St. Johns. He was survived by his brothers, Jimmy Brayfield, Marvin Perryman, and Matt Burnhagan; sisters, Patty Hill, Connie Matthews, and Penny Kentner; his loving wife of 43 years, Diane; and his three sons, Tommy, Jeff (Crystal), and Mark (Christine) Brayfield. He was a father figure to Aaron Boyd. He had 10 grandchildren that he adored. Scott and Travis Whitcher, Ashley Sanders, Justin, Dustin, Brittney, Taelor, Lacey, Seth, and Marcus Brayfield; one great-grandchild, Carter Sanders. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gean and close brother-in-law, Gene Maples.

He was a great neighbor and a hardworking loving dad and unbelievable Papa. His passion was old cars. His favorite past time was going to car show, spoiling grandkids, and spending time with friends. This man was loved and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 12th from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, at 1 p.m., in Klingner-Cope Faily Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Highway EE, Springfield, Mo.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Junior was a wonderful man and a great neighbor. Nick Torretta and I (Chandra Hanson) looked up to him as a father figure! He was very helpful in so many ways and will be missed.
