Marion Kimmons Obituary

Funeral services for Marion Lee Kimmons, 85, West Plains, Mo., will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Kimmons died 1:05 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2011 in the Ozarks Medical Center. He was born June 14, 1925 near Nixa, Missouri to John Bartley and Bessie McElhaney Kimmons. On June 14, 1950, he was married in South Fork, Mo. to Lois Bauer. He was a veteran having served with the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Kimmons was a Vo Ag teacher and Schools of Agriculture college professor.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Kimmons, of the family home; three children, Mary Strayhorn, husband, Rev. Billy Strayhorn, Glen Rose, Texas, Carl Kimmons, wife, Patricia, West Plains, Mo. and John Kimmons, wife, Carla, Lexington, Ky.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Kimmons, wife, Berneta, Billings, Mo.; and sister-in-law, Lula Belle Kimmons, Marionville, Mo.

Burial will be in South Fork Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Charity or Church of Choice and mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775
