Garland Clarkson Obituary

Garland Stanley Clarkson, September 22, 1937- November 14, 2010.
Garland Stanley Clarkson, formally of Hollister, Mo. passed away peacefully on Sunday November, 14, 2010 in Platte City, Mo., with family by his side.
He is survived by three children, Kim(Clarskon) Wilson and her three sons, Kirk, Kameron, and Clark Wilson and two greatgranddaughters Haley May and Ella Kay Wilson. Renee Clarkson of Camden Point, Mo., and her son Blake Marshall. Steve Clarkson of Leavenworth, Kan., and his son Carl.
He is preceeded in death by his parents Virgie Hughey Clarkson Reed and Corbin C. Clarkson.
During the past ten years of his illiness Garland remained courageous, stong and stoic, supported by his deep faith in the Lord's presence blessed with mercy, peace and love.
Visitation will be held 10AM-11AM Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Snapp Bearden Funeral Home, 1638 E. Highway 76, Branson, MO, 65616 (417) 334-3670. A memorial service and graveside burial will immediately follow visitation.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions, in memory of Garland Clarkson, to Christian Associates, 13192 State Highway 13, Kimberling City, MO, 65686, 417-789-3200, website http://www.christian-associates.com/. Make this holiday season a better year for children, with the "Share the Joy Program", or donate to one of the many other services provided by Christian Associates.
