Ollie Wayne Bench (O.W.)

Ollie Wayne Bench (O.W.), age 86 died May 31, 2013. He was born in Rogersville, MO on November 26, 1926.

Ollie was preceded in death by Donna Jean; his beloved daughter, mother Virgie; father Harry; sister Opal, her husband Leon, and brother-in-law, Jean Hayes.

Ollie is survived by Bonnie, wife of 65 years; sons, David, Steven (Suzy), Jimmy (Brenda); brothers, Sammy and Gary; grandchildren, Lucas, Charisa, and Jacob; and five great-grandchildren.

Ollie joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17, for the duration of WWII. After the Navy he worked as a glazier and salesman for over 40 years in the glass business.

Ollie was a devoted husband and father, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

As requested by Ollie, private services will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ollie's name to Mercy Hospice Care.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
