Dimples - More than a year later, I still miss our Sunday phone calls. The ache of losing you remains in my heart, and I still shed tears; but as time goes by I "focus" on the happy memories and smiles. Thank you for the legacy you left your daughters ... in so many ways. Love, Ellen

Having just learned about Dr. Stroebel's passing has me reflecting on the years we worked together: his deep knowledge of the science of photography, his appreciation of the art of photography and how he shared both with his students and colleagues.

What an important life and humane being who had a powerful influence on all who knew him. He left an ongoing legacy in whose lives he touched. I will miss him and his encouragement. Thank you, Les.

Dr. Stroebel's influence on my professional life was profound, everything he taught me was the basis and building blocks for my career.
I was fortunate to have lunch with Dr. Stroebel just before he left for Florida to be nearer family. Good times!

Dr. Stroebel = a guiding spirit, confidant and adviser over the years. We are all better for having spent time with him. He, Dr. Zakia and Dick Norman = the dynamic duo and rogue sidekick! Miss you all! andy

On behalf of the faculty, students and staff of the RIT School of Photographic Arts and Sciences (SPAS), I wish to extend my sympathies to family and friends. SPAS remembers Dr. Stroebel as a School leader and as an inspirational teacher to generations of students, many of whom have shared their fond memories via the School's Facebook page. Dr. Stoebel's work and enthusiasm lives on in the School's curriculum and in its daily interaction with students. We thank him for helping to make SPAS what it is today!
Best, Therese Mulligan, Administrative Chair, SPAS
Memorable consulting trip to Polaroid in Holland along with John Compton and Ron Francis. Spent a week in company of special friends! How lucky am I?
