Janet Eloise Haug, 81, of Fort Myers, FL passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011 with her family by her side. She was a resident of Fort Myers since 1986, coming from Fredericksburg, VA. Janet was born July 18, 1930 in Dayton, OH a daughter of the late John E. and Mildred L. (Stines) Hopkins. Janet's greatest love was her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Robert E. Haug; loving children, Charolette Merten of Ft. Myers, FL, Robert (Marcia) Haug Jr. of Kansas City, MO, Keith (Sharon) Haug of Lyons, KS, Ronald (Julie) Haug of Virginia Beach, VA, David (Maridoll) Haug of Ft. Myers, FL, Denise (Shannon) Streno of Ft. Myers, FL, and Dan (Angela) Haug of Heathrow, FL; sister, Dorothy O'Brian of Bonita Springs, FL; 15 cherished grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Hopkins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church, 19680 Cypress View Dr., Fort Myers, FL 33967. Family and friends are invited to call from 6:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Arrangements by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home.

Dear Charolette, I was sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. Please accept my sympathy. I have enrolled your mother in the St. Anthony Mission League of Franciscans. Your mother will be remembered in their daily Masses, special novenas in Bethlehem, Lourdes, and Padua, including prayers for one year. I hope this will bring you some comfort during this time. Jason sends his sympathy to you too.

May your life soon be filled with wonderful memories of a life well lived. Memories such as the family reunions in St. Mary's, Pleasant Valley,and late night card parties and sleep overs at Regis & Bernie's house. These are my treasured memories of Aunt Janet.
