Arthur Ives Webb, 88, recently of Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully with family members at his side on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. He was born on July 10, 1924 in New Haven, CT, the first of four boys of Arthur J. and Marie G. Webb.

Arthur grew up in New Haven, CT, with family summer vacations spent in West Palm Beach, FL. After graduation from high school, Arthur attended Yale University. His civil engineering studies at Yale were interrupted by WWII, when he proudly served in the United States Navy. Arthur ultimately graduated from Brown University, where he met his wife-to-be, Lucie. They were married in 1947 and were blessed with five children.

Over the next 23 years, they lived in Rhode Island, Delaware and Pennsylvania. In 1971, they permanently moved to Coral Springs, FL, where Arthur was very active as a member of the Planning and Zoning Board for this new, growing city. Arthur and Lucie worked closely together in their Coral Springs title company for almost 20 years.

In 1991, with all their children grown and married, the couple settled in Naples, FL for their retirement years. Arthur was devastated after Lucie's death in 2009 and eventually moved to Fort Myers, FL to be closer to two of his daughters.

Arthur is survived by his five children, A. Lawrence Webb of Coral Springs, FL, Bradford I. Webb of Reisterstown, MD, Elizabeth I. Webb (Michael Zeiher) of Fort Myers, FL, Margaret W. Miller (Eric) of Fort Myers, FL, and Emily W. Andersen (C. Wesley) of Altamonte Springs, FL; sixteen grandchildren, Jezeriah Webb, Angela Webb, Alena Webb Kalisnikow (Eric), and Joshua Webb; Genevieve Webb, Jacqueline Webb, and Alexander Webb; Victoria Webb Shaker (Nathan), Bryan Zeiher, Anne Zeiher and David Zeiher; Ryan Lurie (Lauren), Adam Jason Lurie (Diana), and Brittney Lurie Herman (Andrew); and Spenser Andersen and Katherine Andersen; and twelve great grandchildren, Christopher Webb, Jack Webb, Jenna Webb, David Unik, Anthony Kalisnikow; Luke Lander, Mila Lander; Penelope Lucie Shaker, Lillian Sandra Shaker; Ava Brooke Lurie, Brayden Bruce Lurie, Brooklyn Ryan Lurie; and a girl due in December.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Lucie Guillemette Webb in 2009; daughter-in-law, Anna Marie DiVietro in 2013; and brothers, Richard, Theodore, and Robert.

A funeral Mass will be said at Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church On July 15th at 9:30 a.m. in Fort Myers, FL with inurnment at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Naples, FL.
